The Archaeological museum of Son Fornés is located 2.5 km northwest of the town centre of Montuïri, Mallorca, on the estate which bears the same name which is located 4km from the local road which leads to Pina.
Currently, the surface demarcated by the visible presence of the archaeological remains of varying periods exceeds 3 hectares. Son Fornés was declared an Artistic Historical Monument by decree no. 2563 of the 10th of October 1966.
The Archeological Museum of Son Fornés
This is a monagraphic museum. It houses all the finds made on the site, which is located 2.4 km from the museum. Current exhibition shows the results of long term research based on the first 8 excavation campaigns (up until 1988), although it is predicted that the new finds will also be integrated here once current studies are finished.
