The Son Siureda Ric estate markets red wine produced with ecological grapes. Under the names “Vi de la Terra” and “Vi de la Terra Illes Baleares” the wines combine three varieties of grapes – callet, tempranillo and cabernet sauvignon – which as a result give five types of wine with unique features: Espira, Ric Pur, Rogent, Cerval and Gormand.
The winery’s activity is limited but of high quality.
A visit to the estate, located on the road that joins Manacor and Colonia de Sant Pere, magically transports one to medieval times.
The wine is produced in the original 18th century halls. In the cellar, located in the basement, the aged wines (Gormand and Cerval) mature in French oak barrels.
The wine press, the vineyards, the chapel, the manor house, the columns, the gardens…each corner exudes the primitive and evocative air of the ancient Arab farmhouse.
According to Javier Jara, producer of the Son Sureda Ric wine, last year around 800 people came to the estate to visit and buy wine.
All types of events are celebrated on the estate. There are areas available to hold presentations, press conferences, and family or friend reunions.
A privileged corner of Mallorca where one can learn about the ways of the past, enjoy leisure time and, above all, somewhere you will leave with a good taste in your mouth.
