Mallorca’s Olive Oil route is a perfect gastronomic tour. When it comes to olive trees, the press, the mills and of course, Mallorca’s oil, there are plenty of activities, places to eat and rest, shops to sample and buy the product, as well as architectural heritage, land and beautiful sceneries. The route includes a walk through the Serra de Tramuntana, close to Sóller.

To capture the value of Mallorca’s oil, there can be nothing better than walking through the island’s olive groves. This walk starts at the finca Cas Avinyons, half way along the road that joins Sóller with Deià.
At Es Racó des Teix, nestled at the foot of the mountain that is its namesake, we can experience one of the best gastronomical experiences on the island. Michelin star chef, Josef Sauerschell, serves up Mediterranean dishes with a modern flare.
After lunch it’s time to visit an olive press. These companies that produce Majorcan Oil allow you to learn about how oil is made here in Mallorca.
In Esporles, near Valldemosa, we find the Es Verger press, here they produce an ecological oil using olives from old Majorcan trees, as well as newly planted “arbequina” olives.
The Finca de Muleta is right in the Soller mountains, offering an amazing view of the port. This old possession, now converted into an agro tourism hotel, preserves its original press, surrounding the hotel are activities related to olive collection and oil production.
