Es Trenc is probably the most beautiful beach in all Europe. It is made up of a 3km long sand bank, turquoise water and virgin sand dunes.

Together with the Salobrar de Campos it forms a Maritime Terrestrial Natural Park, located in the South of Mallorca. The scenery offers diverse vegetation that has adapted to the wind: pine trees, junipers, tamarisks, thistles and sea daffodils. This protected area is home to a large variety of birds. There are also salt flats and marshes, called Salobrar de Campos, where flor de sal (hand harvested sea salt) is extracted.

The archipelago of Cabrera, some 11 nautical miles from the Colonia of Sant Jordi, can be seen from Es Trenc beach. Sunset is a magnificent moment at Es Trenc, apart from the irritating flies that love to bite and appear as the sun sets.

You can’t help but notice the bunkers built back in 1939, due to the erosion of the beach over the years, these are now nearly in the sea itself.

Es Trenc was a nudist beach during the 80s. Presently some areas are still set aside for naturists, but others welcome those with swimsuits, sunshades and deck chairs.

Es Trenc beach and sand dunes are a beautiful place, just perfect for an amazing swim.
