The extra virgin olive oil with Guarantee of Origin, Son Quint Farmhouse is an exclusive product with its own personality. It has been produced since 1998 in the Son Quint estate (Esporles), in the Serra de Tramuntana.

Predio Son Quint oil comes from three types of olive: picual, arbequina and empeltre.

The special conditions of the earth and the surroundings give these olives unique features that have been highlighted in the many tastings that experts have carried out as well as in the countries principal laboratories.

Traditional cultivation, collection and selection processes, to obtain the best olives and in equal proportions, and their later cold extraction, gives as a result the original formula of extra virgin olive oil Son Quint Farmhouse.

Predio Son Quint is sold in half litre and quarter litre glass bottles, with an exclusive lid that eases pouring and keeps the product protected from premature oxidization, which means it maintains all the organoleptic properties in perfect condition, from the first to the last drop of this exquisite delicacy.

Luis Español, the company owner, explains that, being an exclusive product, its distribution is primarily focused on distinguished restaurants on the Mallorca.

Although it is also available to the general public in specialty shops, gourmet stores, El Corte Inglés in Palma de Mallorca, and recently at Son Sant Joan Airport, one of the main points of exposure to international clients and a source of new distribution opportunities in Europe.

A small portion of the Predio Son Quint oil is already exported to Germany, England, and Russia, where the reputation of this distinguished Mallorcan brand has reached.

The harvesting process involves a team of ten people specializing in traditional methods.

Once the olives have been sorted, they are immediately transported to the Son Catiu olive mill for cold extraction and subsequent bottling, the only stages of the production process that do not take place on the Esporles estate.

Luis Español tells us that Predio Son Quint is currently expanding its production by planting new olive trees on another family-owned estate in Binissalem. He hopes this expansion will allow them to meet the growing demand for the brand’s olive oil.

In conclusion, we can only say that the visit to the estate was well worth it and that Predio Son Quint extra virgin olive oil deserves all the accolades.
