The Galatzó estate belongs to Calvià council and is the perfect place to go hiking, here you can listen to the wind rustling through the pine trees, the birds chirping and the lambs bleating while they follow you along the pleasant tracks.
There are six well-signed routes in total; posters show the difficulty level as well as the time needed and distance of each route.
You can access the estate from a gravel track that leads off the Es Capdellà to Puigpunyent road.
The estate is dedicated to preserving and promoting the old way of life in the Serra de Tramuntana.
Work carried out at Galtazó includes the reintroduction of the Majorcan cow, which in the 80’s nearly became extinct. They have also set aside areas for cattle and crops with the aim of preventing forest fires.
In the manor house we can look at a beautiful, perfectly restored oil press.
Finca Pública Galatzó. Open every day.
Schedule: in summer from 9:00 to 19:00; Winter 8:00 to 17:00.
