There is a varied selection of exhibitions programmed for the Can Prunera Modernist Museum for this year.

There will be an exhibition of Mallorca’s classic landscapes, “Paisajes Clásicos en Mallorca” featuring the Serra de Tramuntana, the north coast of Mallorca, the coast and the island’s inland villages.

Up until August you will be able to see the paintings of Majorcan artists like Antonio Gelabert Massot, Antoni Ribas Oliver, Bartomeu Ferrà, Llorenç Cerdà, as well as those of international artists such as Aligi Sassu, Thomas Harris and John Ulbritch among others. At this point the exhibition will give way to “Fills de la Serra” showing the Works of Eva Kircz.

The 4th Female Contest for artistic installation will be held in between these exhibitions, the contest is directed to female artists and coincides with International Woman’s Day in March, this year’s winning piece, “Vitrales Liquidos” by Esther Pizarro will be presented.

The big event for this year is the “Miró y Picasso: Historia de una amistad” (Miró and Picasso: The history of a friendship) exhibition, that will be shown during the month of May and the Sóller fiestas, comprising of personal letters, photographs and works of art from these two artistic geniuses of the 20th century.
