Floreres are a typical and exclusive handicraft in Mallorca. Purely decorative they consist of a wooden base on which is constructed an artificial flower arrangement, covered with a glass dome.

The technique used is generalised. With shells and sea snails forming branches and with other small shells, flowers of different sizes, colours and shapes are built up.
These in turn are grouped around a central metal axis, forming a branch that fills the cylindrical glass dome.
Their function is purely decorative and their positioning very specific: on top of chests and canteranos.
Today these Floreres or flower arrangements are highly appreciated decorations.
The tradition of the Floreres lives on the Mallorcan townships of Búger and Llucmajor.
