This is one of the most spectacular excursions on the island, offering incredible views of “S’agulla des Frare“. Es Pa de Figa sits between Puig Major and Puig de Ses Vinyes.
The trek begins at the Cuber reservoir where we will start walking along the road toward the military base on Puig Major, in the middle of the bend, on the right-hand side, we will see a slightly dilapidated wooden style; this is where we need to go.
After 5 minutes we will turn towards the left, and start climbing, following the markers towards the Coll des Xoriguer, then we will descend following the markers towards the Pla de Amlallutx, where we will meet another trail that will take us to an old military shooting ground, once there we leave the trail on the left and will climb over the fencing using the metal stile. In front of us, we will see an impressive wall, and to the right S’Agulla des Frare and between them the stony gully that we will use to return.
On the other side of the stile we will begin a sharp climb among rocks and vegetation to the base of the Paredón, once here, to the left, there is a rather difficult climb, we will need to stick closely to the wall until the end which brings us to the peak of “Pa de Figa”, to the right we can climb to the top to take in the amazing views.
