DESCRIPTION PUIG MAJOR:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We start at Palma and take the MA-11 towards S\u00f3ller. Before reaching this village, we have to pass the Coll de S\u00f3ller (498 m) with its distinguishing hairpin curves. From there, we continue on the MA-10 and after 14 kilometres of ascent we finally arrive at the Tunnel of Monnaber (849 m). After two kilometres,<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

we will encounter a military base, where we start a challen-ging ascent to the summit of the Puig Major (1,445 m). <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corresponding permission by the Air Force will be required. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This really is a worthwhile effort as we are rewarded with a spectacular view over the Serra de Tramuntana<\/a> and practically all of Mallorca. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We pass the lakes C\u00faber and Gorg<\/a> Blau and after the descent we take the MA-10 towards Lluc. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The road leads us through holm oaks and provides us with a view of the mountains and the sea on the left. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once we have navigated the hill of Alzina (677 m), we descent towards Coll de Sa Bataia, where we can regain strength in the restaurant Can Gallet. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recommend a visit to the monastery of Lluc<\/a>, which is located approximately 2 kilometres away. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

We cycle back to Coll de Sa Bataia and from there take the MA- 2139 to Inca and finally continue towards Palma on the MA-13A.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
