The festival route begins in the Tramuntana Sierra.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since 1930, the Island\u2019s oldest festival, dedicated to Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Chopin, has taken place in the beautiful Cartuja de Valldemossa. Its objective: to headline pieces by the famous musician, played by prestigious pianists and talented youths.<br \/>In one of the island\u2019s most emblematic locations, Sa Calobra, a place which also boasts the best acoustics in Mallorca, we have the Torrente de Pareis concert. In this same town, the youth cultural centre, Costa Nord, presents their cycle of concerts, \u201c<strong>Mediterranean Nights<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-6665\" title=\"Music Festivals: the classics of the Mallorcan summer\" alt=\"Music Festivals: the classics of the Mallorcan summer\" style=\"border: 0px none; margin: 10px 20px 10px 0px; float: left;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/Festivals-de-musica-2.jpg\" height=\"400\" width=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/Festivals-de-musica-2.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/Festivals-de-musica-2-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nearby, the <strong>Dei\u00e0 Music Festival<\/strong> has been held since 1978; the chosen venue, the Son Marroig estate, the house-museum of the Archduke. Next to Valldemossa and Dei\u00e0 is the mountain village of Banyalbufar, in whose parish church the Cultural Association has held a cycle of concerts since 1991.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Bellver Castle (Palma) hosts the international <strong>Serenates d\u2019Estiu Illes Balears<\/strong> festival. Since 1971, prestigious groups have given concerts in the open air of the weapons courtyard. The same stage has been used by Palma City Orchestra since 1996 for the Castell de Bellver Music Festival.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">July to September<\/span>, in Pla de Mallorca \u2013a county comprising of 15 farm towns\u2013, the <strong>International Mancomunitat Pla de Mallorca Festival<\/strong> will take place; since 1988, it has promoted free concerts in churches, temples and chapels. Far from here and in the month of July, the small fishing port of Cala Rajada presents its festival, <strong>Serenates d\u2019Estiu de Cala Rajada-Capdepera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-6670\" title=\"Music Festivals: the classics of the Mallorcan summer\" alt=\"Music Festivals: the classics of the Mallorcan summer\" style=\"border: 0px none; margin: 10px 20px 10px 0px; float: left;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/Festivals-de-musica-3.jpg\" height=\"200\" width=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To the northeast, the <strong>Festival of Pollen\u00e7a<\/strong> is a classic; its venue is the Santo Domingo cloister.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But there is more than just classical music to the Mallorcan summer. Sa Pobla has organised the <strong>International Jazz Festival<\/strong> since 1995.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">S\u00f3ller and Palma bring together the best of folk music. <strong>Sa Mostra Folk Festival<\/strong> welcomes groups from throughout the world for 8 days in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">July<\/span>. The <strong>Songs of the Mediterranean Festival<\/strong>, organised by Palma City Council, has presented different sounds and beats with a common cultural thread since 1984.
