The tall central nave is supported by wide buttresses and a double row of flying buttress arches. It is covered by a cross vault.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The fourteen octagonal pillars are a true feat of architectural engineering, creating an extensive interior of over 6,600 m<sup>2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n Recently, a large ceramic mural by Miquel Barcel\u00f3 has been added. Palma Cathedral houses an interesting museum, which can be accessed through the Almoina, next to the bell tower.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-6530\" style=\"border: 0px none; margin: 10px 20px 20px 0px; float: left;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Catedral-de-Palma-3.jpg\" alt=\"Catedral-de-Palma-3\" width=\"280\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Catedral-de-Palma-3.jpg 280w, https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Catedral-de-Palma-3-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 280px) 100vw, 280px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><br \/>\n Rosette<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This cathedral boasts the largest Gothic rosette in the world.
