Hay qui\u00e9n piensa que viene de un antiguo juguete \u00e1rabe. En Mallorca la opini\u00f3n popular es que los fenicios los importaron, tambi\u00e9n hay formas similares en Cerde\u00f1a, Eivissa y Creta. Las formas similares de Creta se encuentran en el museo de Hiraclion procedentes de unas excavaciones del Palacio de Knossos.\r\nTambi\u00e9n se piensa que pueden venir de los griegos muchos siglos antes de Jesucristo.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\r\nLos Siurells son un misterio. No se sabe cual es su antig\u00fcedad, ni su significado ni su origen. Hay qui\u00e9n piensa que s\u00f3lo es un juguete pero tambi\u00e9n se piensa que puede tener un valor religioso. El caso es que muchos investigadores est\u00e1n buscando el verdadero origen del Siurell pero s\u00f3lo tienen hip\u00f3tesis sin llegar a ninguna conclusi\u00f3n definitiva.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\r\n<strong>Fabricaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Siurell es una pieza de barro puesta encima una peana, con un silbato, de color blanco y pintada con pinceladas verdes y rojas. Se empieza por modelar las diferentes partes de la pieza que se a\u00f1aden una a otra con un barro m\u00e1s claro que se dice llamuga. Despu\u00e9s se confecciona el silbato, la pieza fundamental del siurell puesto que le da el nombre.\r\nCuando est\u00e1 cocida se da un ba\u00f1o de cal.
