His enemies however did not find his joke amusing, as King \u201cAlfons\u201d of Aragon had declared war to King Jaume II of Mallorca. When the castle was conquered, Cabrit was punished by being grilled like a \u201ccabrito\u201d (kid) together with his companion Bassa.<br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-2200\" style=\"border: 0px none; margin: 10px 0px 10px 20px; float: right;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/cabrit-i-bassa_3.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"194\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These historic characters later became popular heroes.
