{"id":1839,"date":"2009-10-08T11:23:43","date_gmt":"2009-10-08T09:23:43","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2026-01-16T11:27:44","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T10:27:44","slug":"mallorcan-oil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/en\/gastronomy\/mallorcan-oil.html","title":{"rendered":"Mallorcan Olive Oil"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"102\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/aceite-de-mallorca_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1803\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mallorcan Oil is an <strong>extra virgin olive oil<\/strong> made with the fruit of the olive tree (<em>Olea Europea<\/em>) using the Mallorquina or Empeltre, Arbequina and Picual varieties, based on physical processes which ensure that the oil conserves the aroma, taste and properties of the fruit from which it is made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>soil characteristics<\/strong>, rugged landscape, irregular rainfall and great age of Mallorca\u2019s olive trees lead to a limited yield of olives that are suitable for <strong>good quality oil<\/strong>.
