Normally in Mallorca, the harvest begins with the Chardonnay grape, then the local varieties and finally the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The local black grapes are: Manto Negro, Callet, Fogoneu, Prensall Blanc, Gir\u00f3 Ros and Gorgollassa. In recent times some Majorcan bodegas have once again started growing vines native to the island, like Escursac, white Vinater, black Vinater and Argamussa. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12106\" style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 20px; margin-bottom: 0px; border-width: 1px; border-style: solid;\" title=\"Mallorca\u2019s grape harvest - Bodegas Jos\u00e9 L. There are also two designations of origin: <a title=\"D.O. Binissalem, Mallorca\" href=\"http:\/\/www.binissalemdo.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">D.O. Binnisalem<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/productos-tipicos\/mallorca-pla-i-llevant-denominacio-dorigen.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">D.O Pla I Llevant<\/a>.<br \/>\nIn the 90\u2019s a remodelling of the winemaking sector on the island took place, making it more professional and the bodegas took on some excellent winemakers, the result: some <strong>great quality wines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12111\" style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 20px; margin-bottom: 0px; border-width: 1px; border-style: solid;\" title=\"Mallorca\u2019s grape harvest - Bodegas Jos\u00e9 L.
