In the olden days this park was home to <strong>Palma\u2019s Botanic Garden<\/strong>, which was established to inspire botanical studies and to provide medicinal plants to the pharmacy at Mallorca\u2019s Hospital General.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-11356\" style=\"border: 0px none; margin: 10px 20px 10px 0px; float: left;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/jardines-de-la-misericordia-botanico-palma-de-mallorca.jpg\" alt=\"jardines-de-la-misericordia-botanico-palma-de-mallorca\" width=\"350\" height=\"237\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/jardines-de-la-misericordia-botanico-palma-de-mallorca.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/jardines-de-la-misericordia-botanico-palma-de-mallorca-300x203.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><br \/>\nThe old Misericordia building was home to a charitable institution that included a school, music and drawing academies, a library and workshops. Presently the building is home to the <strong>Biblioteca Luis Alemany<\/strong> (Luis Alemany library) as well as other institutions.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-11361\" style=\"border: 0px none; margin: 10px 20px 10px 0px; float: left;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/jardines-de-la-misericordia-botanico-palma-de-mallorca-ficus-2.jpg\" alt=\"jardines-de-la-misericordia-botanico-palma-de-mallorca-ficus-2\" width=\"540\" height=\"321\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/jardines-de-la-misericordia-botanico-palma-de-mallorca-ficus-2.jpg 540w, https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/jardines-de-la-misericordia-botanico-palma-de-mallorca-ficus-2-300x178.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><br \/>\nIn 1989 sculptures from local and international artists were used to decorate the area.<br \/>\nThe Jard\u00edn de la Misericorida is a walled garden and access is via a regionalist style doorway.<\/p>\n<p>Calle del Jard\u00edn Bot\u00e1nico at the beginning of V\u00eda Roma.<br \/>\n<strong>Opening hours<\/strong>: Monday to Friday from 9 am until 8.30 pm.
