The 120.000 plants grown from March to October have allowed a harvest in 2012 of 11 tons of \u201ctap de cort\u00ed\u201d. Five of them are of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mallorcashop.net\/en\/spices\/152-the-organic-paprika.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ecological production<\/a> and are marketed in small bottles of 80g labelled in Spanish, English and German. Juan Velsaco, the company director, explains that in five years time, the aim is to export five tons of<strong> ecologically produced \u201ctap de corti\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-10587 size-full\" style=\"margin: 10px 20px 30px 0px; border-width: 0px; border-style: none; float: left;\" title=\"Mallorcan pimenton, Especias Cresp\u00ed\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/especias-crespi-pimenton-mallorquin-tap-de-corti-4.jpg\" alt=\"Mallorcan pimenton, Especias Cresp\u00ed\" width=\"350\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/especias-crespi-pimenton-mallorquin-tap-de-corti-4.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/especias-crespi-pimenton-mallorquin-tap-de-corti-4-246x300.jpg 246w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/>The other six tons are added to the pimenton used for the \u201c<strong>Matanzas<\/strong>\u201d (products made from seasonal pig slaughtering). The cultivation of \u201ctap de cort\u00ed\u201d for the \u201cMatanzas\u201d is the main key that has led to its annual production increasing so dramatically, just five years ago they only produced 300 kilos. This year they produced more than 40 tons of pimenton for Matanzas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><strong>Especias Cresp\u00ed<\/strong> follows the same selective method as in the production of other traditional spices. The pepper for example is imported from four continents (it is not produced in Europe) and a mix with unique features is made.
