At present, with a population of some 1600 inhabitants, as the mayor Guillerm Cresp\u00ed explains, Santa Eugenia is an \u201copen and hospitable\u201d municipality\u201d that has not experienced the demographic and property boom that other neighbouring municipalities have suffered from, \u201c<em>and is somewhere our visitors and future residents can feel at home<\/em>\u201d: One of the paths for the future is to promote cultural tourism. Because of this, they are working on the restoration of the area of the <strong>Son Mascar\u00f3 monument<\/strong>, with the aim of making it into a Centre for Understanding the Flora of the region, the Comarca Del Pla.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-10454\" style=\"margin: 10px 20px 10px 0px; border-width: 0px; border-style: none; float: left;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/santa-eugenia-biniali-y-ses-alqueries-un-viaje-al-corazon-del-pla-de-mallorca-4.jpg\" alt=\"santa-eugenia-biniali-y-ses-alqueries-un-viaje-al-corazon-del-pla-de-mallorca-4\" width=\"350\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/santa-eugenia-biniali-y-ses-alqueries-un-viaje-al-corazon-del-pla-de-mallorca-4.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/santa-eugenia-biniali-y-ses-alqueries-un-viaje-al-corazon-del-pla-de-mallorca-4-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/>One of the municipality\u2019s hamlets is the historical group of <strong>Ses Alqueries<\/strong>. The name of the hamlet, which has been named a Bien de Inter\u00e9s Cultural <strong>(BIC or Place of Cultural Interest)<\/strong>, comes from two hamlets of Moorish origin from the 13th century. Nowadays it is a quiet place with an urban maze of beautiful streets that has kept its historical features intact.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Biniali<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Just some kilometres from Santa Eugenia is the hamlet of Biniali, belonging to the municipality of\u00a0 Sencelles.<br \/>\nThe hamlet has 200 inhabitants and it also holds the title of <strong>Place of Cultural Interest<\/strong>. Biniali also has important archaeological sites; among them is the Cova Monja (Nun\u2019s Cave).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is well worth a walk around the peaceful streets of towns like Biniali or Santa Eugenia, enjoying its charming scenery, with the Sierra Tramuntana as a backdrop and surrounded at all times with the famous PDO (Protected designation of Origin) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/productos-tipicos\/vino-de-binissalem-mallorca-denominacion-de-origen.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Binissalem vineyards<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-10459\"
