Cultural excursion through Deià

Deià excursion Itinerary: Deià – Refugi de Can Boi – Cala Deià bridge – Cala Deià – Torrent des Racó – Deià

This morning stroll takes you on a visit to the charming town of Deià and its surroundings, from mountains to olive terraces and the sea.

Excursion: Ses Bruixes cave

Before undertaking any activity on the mountain, we must inform ourselves of the weather forecast, bring enough water and adequate footwear. Respect nature, respect private property and do not leave any trace of our passage on the mountain.

Capdepera, Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla

Capdepera, Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla. Natural Area of Special Interest (ANEI). Area: 538hectares. Municipal districts: Capdepera. Natural values: Dune systems of great interest, sheer cliffs, pine forests.

Mallorca’s olive oil route

Mallorca’s Olive Oil route is a perfect gastronomic tour. When it comes to olive trees, the press, the mills and of course, Mallorca’s oil, there are plenty of activities, places to eat and rest, shops to sample and buy the product, as well as architectural heritage, land and beautiful sceneries. The route includes a walk through the Serra de Tramuntana, close to Sóller.

A walk among Palma’s sculptures

The streets of Palma are adorned with many sculptures.
We would like to propose a tour visiting some of these, contemporaneous and gothic, some with great artistic significance, others that are just symbols of this beautiful city.

Talaia d’Alcúdia, Mallorca (Excursions)

This itinerary takes you to the highest point of Alcúdia’s peninsula. On reaching the top of the Talaia (446m) we are rewarded with great panoramic views. Our route runs through the public estate of la Victòria that separates the bays of Pollença and Alcúdia.

The most romantic sunset in Mallorca

We leave the Port de Sóller three hours before the sunset, first walking up calle Bélgica and then continuing along the Camí de s’Illeta, until reaching the bottom of the Penyal Bernat de s’Illeta; our goal is the summit.

 

S’Arenal de Sa Ràpita and Ses Covetes

S’Arenal de Sa Ràpita and Ses Covetes belong to the Campos municipality. These beaches are part of the coastal area of Sa Ràpita, a popular area with those looking for second homes, both locals and foreigners.

Es Salt des Freu; Orient’s natural waterfall

Es Salt des Frau is a natural waterfall just a few kilometres from Orient, belonging to the municipality of Bunyola. It is on the road between Bunyola and Alaró, in the middle of a beautiful forest of Holm oak, pine and olive trees.
 

Mondragó, Natural Park

The Mondragó Natural Park is located in the south of Mallorca, in the municipal area of Santanyí, and has a surface area of 766 hectares. While 95 hectares of the Park are public property, the rest of the park sits on privately owned land and estates, which, often divided into plots, are generally occupied by extensive dry crop cultivation.

Mallorca, Malgrats Islands

The Las Malgrats Islands are made up of two islets and are located within the municipality of Calvià, opposite the Bay of Santa Ponça. The over 100 hectares occupied by the Las Magrats Islands are exploited traditionally and sustainably by professional fishing vessels and by tourist boats, in compliance with the restrictions established by the General Directorate of Fishing and Protection of Natural Reserves.

The whole essence of the Mediterranean is concentrated in this itinerary. Dragonera Island will give us a hint of loneliness, reminding us of the importance of protected natural areas.

MTB: Viewpoint Route

DescriptionWe head towards the road leading up to Pouet plain; the road is in bad condition and we have to ascend on foot. After the Pouet plain it is easier going, and we can continue on to “Ses Artigues” plain and the peak, Puig Caragolí, and then stop for a break at Coll de Son Gallard.

Torrent de Pareis-Sa Calobra route

For the non-experts or novices in the noble sport of hiking over mountains or torrents, it’s pretty tough and, depending on the trail, difficult and complicated. Indispensable: good walking boots,  outdoor clothing, some food and at least 2 litres of water.

The Barranc de Biniaraix ravine

Located in the municipal district of Sóller, the Barranc de Biniaraix is a ravine created by the Son Torrella mountain range, L’Ofre and Els Cornadors mountain range. A place of great beauty, it has a pathway made of stone steps. This path begins in Biniaraix and continues until the house of L’Ofre.

Artists Walk

The route begins in Sóller, near the crossroads on the main Deià road, where we will find the first “GR” sign indicating a public pathway which leads to the Ca n’Ai rural hotel.

Pas de Vallgornera Cave

This value of this cavity, the Pas de Vallgornera cave (Llucmajor), as a site of natural interest is why it appeared on the list of SCIs proposed by the Government of the Balearic Islands for incorporation into the Europe-wide network, Nature-2000. It is currently included within the list of SCIs for Spain under code ES5310049.

Es Carbó beach

Isolated unspoiled beach, not very crowded, white sand, thin, calm water, 1400 m long x 50 m wide.
Time: approximately 1 hour.
Distance: approximately 2 kilometres.
Difficulty: Very easy

Encounter with nature

When reaching Binibona, leave your car in the car park in the square. The second stage of the route will start by following the path pointing towards Ets Albellons Rural Tourism, leaving the detour leading to it behind on the left in order to continue straight ahead on the unpaved road.

La ruta verda de l’olivera (II) Scenery tours

This route will transport you along a road of miracles and legends, nearly always bearing relation to Virgin Mary, the patron saint of Majorca. Your journey will begin by leaving the town of Caimari on Calle de Nostra Senyora de Lluc, which is also the Inca-Lluc Ma2130 road.

The Puig de Monti-sion

Some summits are the symbols of villages. The Puig de Montisión is one of those for the village Porreres. Precisely for the porrerencs, the inhabitants of this village but also for people from elsewhere, it is the symbolism of Montision which bestows this unique place with its great charm.

Puig de Galatzó nature reserve

La Reserva Puig de Galatzó is a nature reserve with an area of 2.5 million m² situated in the south-west of Majorca, in Puigpuñyent, some 17 km from Palma. The park was founded in 1986 and declared by the Island Council of Majorca as a public utility and of social interest on 3rd August 1992. Its official inauguration took place on 24th October 1992.

Son cos route

Description: The hill Son Cos is located in the municipal area of Marratxi and stands out for the magnificent conservation of its ecosystem. It contains a vast biological diversity with appreciated species such as olive trees, garrigues, mountain pines and large concentrations of orchids.

Puig de Garrafa route

We begin the excursion at Coll Andritxol, right next to the water tanks. From here, we plot an uphill course with a very pronounced incline which takes us as far as the Puig de Garrafa sierra. 

Four routes Planícia

Planícia is a former estate located to the south of the Tramuntana Sierra which spreads over a quarter of the Banyalbufar municipality. The estate looks over the sea, with spectacular views of the Sierra’s coastline, which make it popular among fans of hiking.
