Les orelles s\u00f3n petites i les potes curtes. \u00c9s omn\u00edvore, nocturn i es mou amb facilitat pels arbres.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Se li anomena tamb\u00e9 \u201cmoix \u00e0rab\u201d, en refer\u00e8ncia a la possible introducci\u00f3 de la geneta a la Pen\u00ednsula Ib\u00e8rica durant la invasi\u00f3 musulmana. En efecte, es creu que la geneta era un animal dom\u00e8stic per als \u00e0rabs, l\u2019equivalent als nostres moixos, i viatjava amb ells en els vaixells per a mantenir-los lliures de rates.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00c9s una de les feristeles de la fauna hisp\u00e0nica m\u00e9s \u00e0gil i bella. Afortunadament la seva pell \u00e9s poc apreciada en peleter\u00eda, per desprendre una forta olor acre. Prefereix zones humides i \u00e0rides.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-3890\" style=\"margin: 30px 0px 30px 20px; float: right;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/jineta-balear_3.jpg\" alt=\"jineta-balear_3\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>T\u00e9 mal car\u00e0cter i no dubta a mossegar al menor s\u00edmptoma de por, la seva ferocitat fa que pr\u00e0cticament no tingui predadors.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>H\u00e0bitat <\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>La geneta habita zones boscoses de roures, alzines, pins o oliveres, amb rierols i roques. Encara que no \u00e9s una esp\u00e8cie amena\u00e7ada, el seu nombre ha disminu\u00eft en gran mesura a causa de la ca\u00e7a il\u00b7legal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Reproducci\u00f3 <\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>L\u2019\u00e8poca de reproducci\u00f3 sol tenir lloc al comen\u00e7ament de primavera. La femella pot tenir dues ventrades a l\u2019any, a la primavera i estiu, de 1 a 3 cries, formant un grup familiar, que es dispersa al cap d\u2019un any.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-3895\" style=\"margin: 30px 0px 30px 20px; float: right;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/jineta-balear_4.jpg\" alt=\"jineta-balear_4\" width=\"300\" height=\"252\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Alimentaci\u00f3 <\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>\u00c9s un \u00e0gil ca\u00e7ador de petites aus, mam\u00edfers, r\u00e8ptils, insectes i conills. A la tardor els fruits juguen un important paper en la seva dieta, tamb\u00e9 herbes, insectes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Costums <\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Viu en solitari, i pot ser presa de guineus, gossos, linxs i mussols reals.
