El <strong>modernisme<\/strong> va sorgir a l\u2019\u00faltima d\u00e8cada del segle XIX a Europa com una reacci\u00f3 al classicisme dels segles anteriors.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-349\" style=\"margin: 10px 20px 10px 0px; float: left;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/palma_o_la_ruta_del_modernismo_casa_sa_forteza_rey.jpg\" width=\"299\" height=\"170\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<p align=\"justify\">Va predominar en tots els \u00e0mbits art\u00edstics (pintura, escultura, arts aplicades&#8230;), que buscaven revalorar el treball artesanal davant la deshumanitzaci\u00f3 propiciada per la revoluci\u00f3 industrial.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">L\u2019arquitectura urbana no va ser aliena a aquest corrent i aviat va comen\u00e7ar a carregar-se de <strong>reixes geom\u00e8triques<\/strong>, <strong>motius florals<\/strong>, <strong>balustres de pedra<\/strong>, <strong>l\u00ednies sinuoses ondulants<\/strong> i infinitat de detalls i nous materials que transformaven els edificis en llocs agradables, elegants, moderns i alegres. El resultat \u00e9s una est\u00e8tica refinada i ornamental que encara avui, gaireb\u00e9 cent anys despr\u00e9s, impacta l\u2019observador.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Palma va rebre la seva herencia modernista d\u2019arquitectes catalans que, a partir d\u2019Antonio Gaud\u00ed i La Sagrada Familia, van estendre el corrent fora de Catalunya. Avui es conserven als nostres carrers valuosos exemples d\u2019una arquitectura que ha aconseguit superar la prova del temps, com demostra l\u2019atracci\u00f3 que desperta entre els turistes que cada any ens visiten. Una de les mostres m\u00e9s enlluernadores \u00e9s l\u2019edifici del <strong>Gran Hotel<\/strong>, a la Pla\u00e7a Weyler. Obra de l\u2019arquitecte Lluis Dom\u00e8nech i Muntaner, \u00e9s una de les primeres construccions modernistes de Palma (1903) i precursor dels hotels mallorquins. Actualment acull la seu de la Fundaci\u00f3 La Caixa i compta amb una col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 permanent del pintor Anglada Camarassa.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">La <a href=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/ca\/cultura\/magatzems-l-aguila-i-can-forteza-rey-dos-exemples-de-modernisme-a-palma.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Casa Forteza Rey<\/strong><\/a>, al carrer Colom, \u00e9s un altre dels llocs m\u00e9s admirats. L\u2019immoble data de 1910 i la seva originalitat no nom\u00e9s radica a la fa\u00e7ana i a els elements decoratius modernistes, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 a l\u2019inocograf\u00eda de les figures que l\u2019adornen: figuracions monstruoses que corresponen a un cap de serp de drac i a un rostre d\u2019aparen\u00e7a humana.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<p align=\"justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-354\" style=\"margin-right: 0px; margin-left: 20px; float: right;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/palma_o_la_ruta_del_modernismo_casasayas_detalle.jpg\" width=\"241\" height=\"323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/palma_o_la_ruta_del_modernismo_casasayas_detalle.jpg 241w, https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/palma_o_la_ruta_del_modernismo_casasayas_detalle-224x300.jpg 224w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 241px) 100vw, 241px\" \/><strong>Can Casasayas<\/strong> (antiga Pensi\u00f3 Menorquina), a la Pla\u00e7a del Mercat, va ser projectat per Francesc Roca i Sim\u00f3. Es va construir entre 1909 i 1911 i est\u00e0 catalogat pel Consell de Mallorca com <strong>B\u00e9 d\u2019Inter\u00e8s Cultural<\/strong>. La reforma interior de la Catedral iniciada per Gaud\u00ed \u00e9s un altre episodi del modernisme palmes\u00e0 que en total sumeixi al voltant de 40 obres. Algunes d\u2019elles es troben al raval de Santa Catalina, primer assentament urb\u00e0 cap a on va cr\u00e9ixer la ciutat emmurallada a finals del XIX i epicentre de l\u2019esperit comercial del nou segle durant el XX. Al carrer San Mag\u00edn la <strong>Ferreter\u00eda Central<\/strong> presenta les reixes geom\u00e8triques, motius florals i l\u00ednies corbes caracter\u00edstiques de l\u2019estil.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">El modernisme es dilueix en la primera guerra mundial, per\u00f2 les seves&nbsp; manifestacions perduren com un dels per\u00edodes art\u00edstics m\u00e9s expressius i originals.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-359\" style=\"margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/palma_o_la_ruta_del_modernismo_gran_hotel_caixaforum.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"940\" height=\"628\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/palma_o_la_ruta_del_modernismo_gran_hotel_caixaforum.jpg 540w, https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/palma_o_la_ruta_del_modernismo_gran_hotel_caixaforum-300x201.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 940px) 100vw, 940px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La ciutat conserva valuosos exemples arquitect\u00f2nics d\u2019un corrent art\u00edstic que va assolir el seu apogeu a comen\u00e7aments del segle XX.
