Nombroses institucions relacionades amb l&#8217;estudi han tingut la seva seu en aquest palau, situat a esquena de la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/cultura\/la-catedral-de-palma.html\">catedral<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-21079 size-full\" style=\"float: left; margin: 20px 20px 50px 0px;\" title=\"Estudi Lul\u00b7li\u00e0: promovent la cultura a Mallorca des del segle XV\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/estudio-luliano-cultura-mallorca-arco.jpg\" alt=\"Estudi Lul\u00b7li\u00e0: promovent la cultura a Mallorca des del segle XV\" width=\"350\" height=\"555\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/estudio-luliano-cultura-mallorca-arco.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/estudio-luliano-cultura-mallorca-arco-189x300.jpg 189w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ferran el Cat\u00f2lic va atorgar l&#8217;any 1483 el perm\u00eds per crear un centre d&#8217;ensenyament superior, a petici\u00f3 dels jurats de Mallorca: la Reial i Pontif\u00edcia Universitat Liter\u00e0ria i Lul\u00b7liana de Mallorca. All\u00e0 seria possible cursar estudis de Teologia, Art, Dret i Medicina fins que va sobrevenir un per\u00edode de decad\u00e8ncia a la fi del XVIII. El patronat creat el 1950, com &#8220;un exponent de l&#8217;evoluci\u00f3 cultural de les illes i promotor de la restauraci\u00f3 de l&#8217;ensenyament universitari&#8221;, va reprendre el testimoni en el desenvolupament de l&#8217;erudici\u00f3. Es van acollir institucions tan significatives com la c\u00e0tedra Ramon Llull adjunta a la facultat de Filosofia i Lletres de la Universitat de Barcelona. Tamb\u00e9 l&#8217;Escola de Turisme de Balears i la Universitat Nacional d&#8217;Educaci\u00f3 a Dist\u00e0ncia (UNED) van impartir les seves classes al carrer Sant Roc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L&#8217;edifici original de la Universitat Medieval de Mallorca va quedar pr\u00e0cticament destru\u00eft en 1936, a causa d&#8217;un bombardeig durant la Guerra Civil. Gabriel Alomar va projectar una nova obra, seguint el model de <strong>palau mallorqu\u00ed tradicional<\/strong>. A l&#8217;pati central d&#8217;<strong>arcs<\/strong> de tres punts, sobre <strong>columnes j\u00f2niques<\/strong>, treuen el cap les sales de la planta noble, que acullen les actuals aules.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Des de 1951 s&#8217;imparteixen cursos de castell\u00e0, dirigits a estrangers. En els \u00faltims anys, l&#8217;oferta ha augmentat amb classes d&#8217;alemany, \u00e0rab, xin\u00e8s, franc\u00e8s, angl\u00e8s, itali\u00e0 i rus, en horari de tarda, tot i que per a algunes mat\u00e8ries, com alemany, tamb\u00e9 \u00e9s possible assistir als matins. Durant el mes de juliol es desenvolupen cursos espec\u00edfics d&#8217;estiu.
