No ens engana: cobreix unes torres isl\u00e0miques i donava acc\u00e9s a l&#8217;antiga fortalesa del Temple.<strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-align: justify;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-13699\" style=\"border: 0px none; margin: 0px 20px 0px 0px; float: left;\" title=\"El Temple continua oferint un servei a Palma de Mallorca\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/temple-palma-de-mallorca-1.jpg\" alt=\"El Temple continua oferint un servei a Palma de Mallorca\" width=\"350\" height=\"233\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/temple-palma-de-mallorca-1.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/temple-palma-de-mallorca-1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Els templaris van rebre, en recompensa per la seva ajuda a la <a title=\"Conquesta de Mallorca\" href=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/nuestra-gente\/jaume-i-conquista-mallorca.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conquesta de Mallorca<\/a>, propietats que comprenien una cinquena part de l&#8217;illa. Jaume I havia estat educat i protegit fins a la seva coronaci\u00f3 per la Orden del Temple, complint el desig de la seva mare, Maria de Montpeller.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Els cavallers van establir el Castell del Temple a l&#8217;<strong>Almudaina de Gumara<\/strong>, fortalesa \u00e0rab situada al costat de les muralles que van intentar protegir la Medina Mayurqa conquerida.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All\u00e0 custodiaven el bot\u00ed sostret als musulmans i l&#8217;arxiu reial, i van construir, entre 1.091 i 1.153, l&#8217;Esgl\u00e9sia, un dels escassos exemples de l&#8217;<strong>art rom\u00e0nic<\/strong> a Mallorca. De l&#8217;edifici original es conserva l&#8217;atri, on podem contemplar dues fonts en forma de casc templari i un <strong>enteixinat mud\u00e8jar<\/strong>. Tamb\u00e9 s\u00f3n d&#8217;estil rom\u00e0nic les dues capelles del primer tram de l&#8217;esgl\u00e9sia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-13704\" style=\"border: 0px none; margin: 0px 20px 0px 0px; float: left;\" title=\"El Temple continua oferint un servei a Palma de Mallorca\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/temple-palma-de-mallorca-2.jpg\" alt=\"El Temple continua oferint un servei a Palma de Mallorca\" width=\"350\" height=\"481\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/temple-palma-de-mallorca-2.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/temple-palma-de-mallorca-2-218x300.jpg 218w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Museu de Mallorca guarda el retaule de San Bernardo de Claraval en estil franc g\u00f2tic, procedent de l&#8217;esgl\u00e9sia del Temple.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Despr\u00e9s de la desaparici\u00f3 de l&#8217;orde del Temple les seves propietats van passar als cavallers de Sant Joan (Ordre de Malta) i, posteriorment, van anar canviant d&#8217;amo fins que a finals del segle XIX el Castell del Temple va adquirir una finalitat social. Al 1889 la Comtessa de Ayamans, Leocadia Togores Zaforteza, i Sor Maria Ramis Munar van comprar la fortalesa, fundant-hi la Llar del Temple, per asilar a nenes \u00f2rfenes i necessitades.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les <strong>trinit\u00e0ries terci\u00e0ries<\/strong> segueixen mantenint-lo en actiu, amb diferents programes que preparen a les nenes per a la vida adulta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nEs tracta, per tant, d&#8217;una capella privada per\u00f2 l&#8217;atri est\u00e0 sempre obert.
