Es necessita estar en bona forma f\u00edsica per a poder pujar les interminables escales: des del poble fins a les Cases de l&#8217;Ofre compten amb 1.932 graons, que constitueixen un impressionant exemple dels tit\u00e0nics esfor\u00e7os realitzats per l&#8217;enginyeria tradicional.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les cases de l&#8217;Ofre, una vasta possessi\u00f3 situada a una hora de cam\u00ed des de Biniaraix, es remunta a l&#8217;\u00e8poca musulmana. Rep el seu nom del vocable alfora, el significat \u00e9s &#8220;la vall&#8221;. Durant diversos trams de la pujada per les escales empedrades podem contemplar el Puig de l&#8217;Ofre (1.091), pic de forma perfectament c\u00f2nica, semblant a un volc\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-13419\" style=\"border: 0px none; margin: 0px auto; display: block;\" title=\"Biniaraix, una petita meravella a la Serra de Tramuntana, Mallorca\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Biniaraix-pan.jpg\" alt=\"Biniaraix-panor\u00e0mica\" width=\"540\" height=\"219\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Biniaraix-pan.jpg 540w, https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Biniaraix-pan-300x122.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tradicionalment, la principal activitat de la zona era l&#8217;agricultura, amb conreus d&#8217;horta, vinya i olivera, prove\u00efda d&#8217;abundant aigua pel torrent de petites cascades que discorre al fons del <a title=\"Barranc de Biniaraix\" href=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/excursiones\/barranco-de-biniaraix-mallorca.html\">Barranc de Biniaraix<\/a>. L&#8217;agricultura de Biniaraix va viure una \u00e8poca expansiva al segle XIX gr\u00e0cies a l&#8217;increment en la producci\u00f3 de c\u00edtrics.
