En el seu interior es troba el <strong>Museu d&#8217;Hist\u00f2ria de Palma de Mallorca<\/strong>, que compta amb peces procedents d&#8217;excavacions arqueol\u00f2giques i col\u00b7leccions d&#8217;art municipals, aix\u00ed com amb la col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 Despuig d&#8217;escultura cl\u00e0ssica. Tamb\u00e9 es troba al seu interior la capella de Sant Marc, patr\u00f3 del castell.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-12553\" style=\"border: 0px none; margin: 10px 20px 10px 0px; float: left;\" title=\"Castell de Bellver, Mallorca\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/castillo-de-bellver-1.jpg\" alt=\"Castell de Bellver, Mallorca\" width=\"350\" height=\"217\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/castillo-de-bellver-1.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/castillo-de-bellver-1-300x186.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><\/p>\n<p>Situaci\u00f3<\/strong><br \/>\nEl Castell de Bellver es troba situat a 3 km del centre de la ciutat de Palma de Mallorca i a 112&#8217;6 m d&#8217;al\u00e7ada sobre el nivell de la mar, dominant la badia de Palma i gran part de l&#8217;illa de Mallorca. La seva construcci\u00f3 s&#8217;inicia a principis del segle XIV per ordre de Jaume II, rei de Mallorca, combinant les funcions defensiva i de palau.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-12558\" style=\"border: 0px none; margin: 10px auto; display: block;\" title=\"Castell de Bellver, Mallorca\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/castillo-de-bellver-2.jpg\" alt=\"Castell de Bellver, Mallorca\" width=\"540\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/castillo-de-bellver-2.jpg 540w, https:\/\/www.masmallorca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/castillo-de-bellver-2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>La planta<\/strong><br \/>\n\u00danic en la seva estructura circular a tot Espanya, amb els seus tres torreons semicirculars integrats i una torre, la Major o torre de l&#8217;Homenatge, de 33,37 mts. separada del cos principal del castell i estava unida a aquest per un pont de fusta llevad\u00eds. La construcci\u00f3, disposada al voltant d&#8217;un pati central, presenta dos nivells: la planta baixa amb arcs de mig punt i sostres plans, i la superior amb arcs apuntats, coberta amb volta de creueria en el m\u00e9s pur estil g\u00f2tic. L&#8217;Edifici i el bosc van ser cedits per l&#8217;Estat a l&#8217;Ajuntament de Palma el 1931, que el va convertir en seu del Museu.
